There are giant teddy bears, and there are giant bears made of teddy. On the 28th April residents of the Mexican town of Xonacatlan were included in the Guinness Book of World Records : for over 3 months they created the biggest teddy bear in the world. To create the huge teddy The same materials were employed for the creation of the stuffed animals that are sold in shops. The result was a 19.41 metres long bear that goes by the name of Xonita that has an approximate total volume to 451.48 m3. This massive teddy is currently the biggest teddy bear on the planet that is also the biggest stuffed animal the world by default.
The World’s Largest Sock Monkey
Sock monkeys are created from socks and are usually created in the shape of the monkey. They are very well-known folk art toys, and they are frequently made of homemade. Most often, they’re medium-sized stuffed toys. But have you ever considered what you would get if you made one out of 66 socks that were calf length? Jody Lewis originally from Bridgwater, United Kingdom, made one!
Lewis worked for a whole week cutting socks apart and stitching them back together. After lots of laborious work, she was able to finish her project, setting the record for creating of the world’s biggest socks monkey! With 15 kg of hollowfibre, her gigantic stuffed monkey came to life in February 2015.
“I’ve got a big list of things that I want to do in life and breaking a world record was one of them,” Lewis spoke to an audience at World Record Academy. She certainly accomplished that! Lewis‘ monkey is currently an official record holder for being the largest Sock Monkey in the world. It’s 3.19 inches tall. It weights 16 kilograms.
