There are several ways to improve your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) such as writing articles, posting images, creating backlinks, etc. However, these methods take time, effort, and experience. That’s why I am sharing my top SEO tips to improve your SEO in less than 15 minutes.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is the way to get traffic from search engines. The main aim of SEO is to optimize web pages or websites for the search engines. This means that they should be easily found by the search engines and ranked high.
You don’t need to spend hours working on improving your SEO. Instead, try out these simple tips that you can implement immediately. These are some of the things that I follow myself and have seen great results.
Improve existing content with missing subtopics
If you own an e-commerce site, you must know about product descriptions. They help customers make informed buying decisions. You can use them to target keywords and also create backlinks.
But what if you do not write any product descriptions at all? In this case, you can simply add links to related products on other sites. For example, if you sell hats, you can link to similar hats sold by different companies.
Another thing that you can do is to include information about the price and shipping cost in the description. This will help buyers find more options and make their buying process easier.
Send emails to everyone you link to
Link Building is a chore. You have find prospects, vet them and find their email address. Then you need to convince them to link to your website. An easier way to start is to contact their founders or marketing managers.
This email should be sent to a person who has been using Buzzstream before and knows how to use it. It should contain information about the tool being used by Buzzstream. It should also tell the reader why Buzzstream is useful.
To find emails of prospects you can use Hunter, it will show you the emails of website owners whom you can send email.
Add internal links to new pages
When you launch a new page, it should always contain one or two sentences explaining its purpose, followed by a list of relevant links. This helps readers navigate through your site faster.
Internal links are backlinks from your website pages to each other. They help visitors navigate your website pages, distribute link authority throughout your website, and Google also uses them to understand context. When you create a new page, it should have few or no internal linking opportunities. You can find these by searching Google for site: your-website.com keyword.
For example, if we want to add internal links to new posts about Google keyword ranking tools, search for something like site:”website.com/” twitter unfollow tools“. Every result here is a webpage on our website containing the phrase ‘twitter unfollow tools. ‘If there are many relevant results, install Ahrefs’ SEO toolbar.
This tool will overlay SEO metrics in search results. You can also eyeball the URL rating of each page to prioritize linking from the most authoritative pages.
Do an annual content audit
Content audits can be tedious. But when done regularly, they help you spot problems early. If you notice a lot of duplicate content, then you need to fix it. Or, if you see a lot of low quality content, you may want to hire someone to take over the writing.
Audits allow you to check the technical aspects such as URLs, titles, meta tags, images, and so on. Auditing also allows you to check whether or not the content is optimized for search engines.
The final step is to measure the performance. Look at your rankings and compare them with your competitors. See where you stand and which areas need improvement.
It’s easy to become obsessed with ranking well in search engine results. But it’s important to remember that people aren’t looking for you; they’re looking for answers.
So, instead of obsessing over your ranking position, focus on providing high quality content that solves real problems. That’s what people are really looking for.
Build Links Using Content Networks
You probably know about content networks already. These are websites that put together articles written by many authors. The result is that readers get access to a large amount of valuable content.
There are several types of content networks. Some are focused on specific niches, while others cover topics ranging from business to health.
One type of content network is called a guest post network. In this case, the author writes an article, submits it to a blog, and asks some bloggers to publish it. A good example would be Hubspot’s Guest Blogging Network.
Another type of content network is a press release network. Here, a company hires freelance writers to write long pieces. And the writer sends the piece directly to editors. The same goes for PRWeb. Their Press Release Network lets companies submit their own press releases.
A third type of content network is based around a particular product. For instance, the Amazon affiliate program offers products that can be promoted within your blog posts.
Repurpose blog posts as videos
When I first started blogging, my goal was to build traffic to my website. So, I wrote long blog posts and posted them to social media sites. It didn’t work very well.
Then, one day, I realized that I could repurpose those blog posts into video tutorials. Instead of writing a single blog post about how to do something, I could make multiple short videos showing different ways to complete the task.
I’m convinced that this approach works better because it helps viewers learn more than just one thing. Plus, you can use video to explain complex concepts in a simple manner.
Video isn’t just for YouTube anymore there are many sites where you can share videos. You can repurpose blog posts into short videos. You can find Appsumo lifetime deals on video tools while browsing Appsumo.
Respond to relevant HARO requests
HARO stands for Help a Reporter Out. While most journalists prefer to receive original content, there will always be times when they request information from other sources.

In these instances, you should consider answering the reporter’s questions. If you don’t provide timely responses, you’ll lose out on potential opportunities.
For example, if a journalist asks you to provide background information on a certain topic, it makes sense to respond quickly. You can then link back to your site’s page about that subject.
Of course, responding to reporters takes time. But the benefits outweigh any lost opportunity costs.
Monitor competing backlinks for underperforming content
If you want to improve your search engine ranking, you need to understand which pages perform best.
To find out, you can use Google Analytics or another web analytics tool. These services will show you where people are clicking. They also tell you what pages visitors are looking at before they click away.
This means that you can identify which links lead to low-traffic pages. Then, you can focus on improving the content of those pages. This will help you generate more traffic and increase sales.
As you gain experience with SEO, you may want to become more advanced. There are plenty of resources online that teach you everything you need to know tracking your SEO performance.
Fix pages with broken backlinks
One of the biggest mistakes bloggers make is linking to dead websites.
Your job is to fix these broken links by adding new ones. To find those pages you can use Ahrefs and SEMrush. These SEO tools tell you which domains are sending traffic to your pages.
Once you’ve identified unlinked domains, you can contact domain owners and ask them to change their settings. Alternatively, you can hire a professional to handle the outreaching task.
