Highest-Paid Players of Caribbean Premier League

Caribbean Premier League has turned out to be a money-spinning machine for top cricketers who earn an insane amount of money during CPL auctions. The earnings of the highest-paid Caribbean Premier League Players might look pale in comparison to the Indian Premier League earnings, but they are substantial enough to complement their lifestyle. In 2020, CPL players had to take a pay cut due to the Covid-19 pandemic but it is still good money for most cricketers. The top pay package of the CPL players was $112,000 that was divided amongst eight players.
Rashid Khan, the young Afghan sensation is the highest paid cpl players fetching a price of $112,000 in the last edition of the CPL, where he played for the Barbados Tridents franchise. Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Chris Lynn, Corey Anderson, Mitchell Santner, and Imran Tahir are other top paid players who earn up to $160,000 in the Caribbean premier league.
Covid19 pandemic in 2020 changed the equations of CPL players’ salaries as they had to take a steep cut due to no revenue from ticket sales. There were no spectators in the stadiums as strict safety protocols and social distancing norms were put in place to avoid the spread of transmission. The new contracts were offered to the players with a 30 percent pay cut which substantially reduced their earnings.
